Tulip (Tulipa) (Persian: لاله) is a generic term for the annual plants of bulbous, perennial herbaceous plants grown as ornamental plants with beautiful flowers forming the genus Tulipa from the family Liliaceae.

In the 16th century, the lilies sent by Sultan Süleyman the Magnificent to the King of Holland left the Dutchman in the first place and all the Europeans in a short time. Thus, the largest tulip producing country in the world is the Netherlands.
