About u:cloud

The secure cloud storage for members of the University of Vienna

The u:cloud service offers free cloud storage space for employees and students of the University of Vienna. It synchronises files on several devices such as laptops, mobile phones and tablets. u:cloud is an open-source and safe alternative to well-known cloud storage services – your data remain on the servers of the University of Vienna.

The u:cloud app enables, among other things:

• upload of files to u:cloud

• download of files from u:cloud

• automatic synchronisation of files

u:cloud can also be accessed via https://ucloud.univie.ac.at/

The advantages of u:cloud:

• Your data are not entrusted to third parties, but are stored on the University of Vienna’s servers and are protected from undesired access.

• The software on which u:cloud is based runs on the University’s servers.

• Employees and students of the University of Vienna receive 50 GB storage space free of charge.
