Fight against corruption in Burkina Faso

Veenem Anticorruption is a digital portal created by REN-LAC and CIFOEB in the framework of the project "Increase citizen participation in the fight against corruption and public accountability through an anti-corruption information platform" funded by the Union European. This information platform, which acts as a citizen watch area, develops three essential functions:

• facilitate the access of Burkinabè citizens to budgetary information;

• facilitate denunciations of corruption;

• promote good practices in the fight against corruption.

All relevant documents relating to budget transparency (texts of laws, policies, codes, etc.) and the fight against corruption, as well as the simplified formats of the budgets of local authorities and of the ministries of health and education are available on the platform. in the Publications section, constantly run by REN-LAC and CIFOEB.

The configuration and configuration of the platform guarantees the anonymity of whistleblowers who wish to do so. In addition, the platform ensures speed in the processing of reports of corruption cases.
