Planning your trip

In the Map section, mark a stop/station as the starting point and select the stop/destination station. The App will show the suit and travel time.

Reload your RioCard

By means of the application, the user accesses Riocard's Easy Reload* site and can insert credits in RioCard cards.

In the Map section, visualize in the general map of VLT Carioca the tourist attractions and points of interest in the surroundings of the suit and see which are the stops/access stations.

Use of the VLT

Access the general information about the operation of the Carioca VLT in an easy and practical way. Know the value of the passageway, stops in operation, operating hours, purchase and recharging procedures of your RioCard in the self-service terminals, such as validating your Riocard, contacting Ouvidoria and Regras de Convivência, all within the reach of your mother.

About the VLT Carioca

One of the symbols of change in Rio de Janeiro's mobility dynamics, the VLT Carioca (Light Vehicle on Trams) allows the interligation of the Port Region to the city's financial center in a faster, safer and more sustainable way.

The VLT attends to the users of the different public transport systems with the function of speeding up their relocation in the central area of the city. The system currently connects to conventional buses, metrô, trains, boats and cruzeiros terminal, besides the airport Santos Dumont and Rodoviária Novo Rio. Currently, there are two lines and 26 stops in operation.

The VLT establishes a relationship of trust with the user to encourage spontaneous payment in the interior of the vehicles.

Fully integrated into the urban landscape, its modern architecture is intertwined with classic facades and the new buildings of the region. Saindo do Aeroporto Santos Dumont, you pass by Beira Mar Avenue, the historical buildings of Cinelândia and Av. Rio Branco (The Municipal Theatre, Centro Cultural da Justiça Federal e Cine Odeon), in the revitalized area of Porto Maravilha, Including the Olympic Boulevard and its charming attractions (Museum of the Amanhã, Museum of Rio Art, AquaRio, Count Orla and Mural Ethnic Groups) and by the Cidade do Samba on foot of Rodoviária.

On line 2, from Rodoviária and passing through Central Brazil, the VLT goes from Campo de Santana to Praça XV, passing through Tiradentes Square, Polo Saara and Rua Sete de Sete de Setembro.
