Although Huawei's official app HiLink can also wake up, restart, and shut down, it takes time and effort, so we created it as an application specialized only for wake up ウ ェ イ ク sleep, restart, and shutdown functions (※ 3).

【Setting method】

Password registration and router registration are required. Open the setting screen from the menu at the top of the app screen, and set the "Password" and "Discover / Register Device".

1. Password

This is the password used on the web management screen of the router http: //speedwifi-next.home/. An app is required to operate the router. For the management screen and password, refer to the instruction manual ("About the Speed ​​Wi-Fi NEXT Setting Tool").

2. Find and Register Device

With the router in sleep mode, tap "Discover / Register Device" to find and register the router using Bluetooth LE (* 4). It is required to wake up the sleeping router (* 5).

To put the router to sleep, (1) there are 0 terminals connected via Wi-Fi to the router, (2) it is not charging, and (3) the quick access mode is turned off. A. Wake up

Wake up a sleeping router. The application automatically performs Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on.

B. Sleep

By turning off the Wi-Fi communication on the device where this application is installed, the router will go to sleep after a certain period of time. (※ 1)

You can set the time to go to sleep on the router's web management screen http: //speedwifi-next.home/. It is recommended that you set the shortest 5 minutes in "Wi-Fi Automatic Stop Time (minutes)" in Settings> LAN Settings> Basic Settings.

C. Restart

Restart your router.

※ By reading the ad in the center of the screen, you can also check if the Internet is connected properly.

D. Shutdown

Shut down (power off) your router. If you shut down by long press, Wi-Fi of the terminal where this application is installed is also turned off.

(* 1) The sleep function goes to sleep after a certain time set on the router with no Wi-Fi communication. It does not mean that you will immediately go to sleep immediately. This is not a problem with this app, but a hardware design issue with the router. Even if you use the sleep function of this application, it may not go to sleep if you turn on the Wi-Fi on your device before a certain time has passed.

In addition, if there is a device performing Wi-Fi communication other than the terminal using the application, or if the router is charging, even after using the sleep function of this application, after a certain period of time has elapsed Even you may not go to sleep.

(* 2) Has operation results for W01 and W02. We have not tested it on W03, but it should work just fine as long as the Web UI specification is the same.

(※ 3) As for functions such as checking traffic, there are existing apps from other authors, such as Huawei's official HiLink, so please use them.

(* 4) With Android 6.0 (Marshmallow), the protection of personal information has been enhanced, and the detection of Bluetooth devices also has the potential to be a hint for identifying personal location information, so the authority regarding location information Is a required specification. Although this application does not use the location information itself, it is required by the specification to detect Bluetooth devices. In addition to permissions, you need to turn on location information at the time of detection (necessary only at the time of detection work, and it is not necessary after device registration is completed).

(※ 5) It is a mandatory condition that the Android device side is compatible with Bluetooth LE for the wake up function.

This application uses Google's Analytics to investigate user usage. The author does not use the data obtained by Analytics for the purpose of surveying user usage etc., and does not use it to identify individual users.
