About X Destiny Warrior Men Fighting

X Destiny Warrior Men Fighting has the battle system itself comes full of flaws

You start with the best attack in the game: balloon hands. No, that's not its real name.

It's just your base attack, and apparently it involves your character surrounding their fists with energy or something.

But it really looks like their hands become little purple balloons every time they punch.

Like most of the game's presentation, what the developer was trying to convey came out shockingly unclear.

When you first start playing, don't even bother looking at the controls in the menu screen.

The details listed don't actually become active until random moments during your painstakingly repetitious journey.

When you first start the game you'll find only one button that does anything, other than the start button, which pauses the game.

Like most standard beat 'em ups, you can push the attack button (in this case the Y button) up to three times to activate a three hit combo.

You hope that sounds fun, because that's the only action your character can perform until you unlock more moves -

a process that occurs at a painfully slow rate, such as the fact that attacking actually halts your character's progression.

In other words, you can't even move while punching.

It doesn't feel like a conscious decision on the developer's part,

say to add to the tension or something. Instead, it is ostensibly the result of laziness.

Programming walking and punching at the same time would be way too much work for a quick cash in like this.

The story, written by former X Destiny Warrior Men Fighting scribe Carrey, had loads of promise, with a rich universe of mutant lore to draw from.

However, like Destiny's concept, every aspect of the story remains entirely squandered throughout the adventure.

The developers push the plot along primarily through the implementation of bloated,

incoherent text segments paired with run-of-the-mill comic book art.

These story moments usually pop up right before the player engages a generic enemy or after defeating the last one on screen.

When presented in such a chopped-up, lackluster fashion, it makes the story difficult to follow.

Considering the source material, the story should have been the main event. It's a real bummer to see such potential thrown out the window.
