This Science Book for Class VII SMP/MTs was prepared with the above in mind. The field of Biology is used as a platform for discussion of other fields of science. Living creatures are used as objects to explain the basic principles that govern nature such as natural objects and their interactions, energy and balance, etc. Through discussions using various fields of science in the natural sciences group, a complete understanding of the nature they inhabit and the natural objects found around them can be mastered by SMP/MTs students.

In accordance with the 2013 Curriculum concept, this book has been prepared referring to science learning in an integrated and complete manner, so that for every knowledge taught, the learning must be continued until it makes students skilled in presenting the knowledge they have mastered, and acting as creatures who are grateful for the gifts of the universe that have been given to them through responsible use.

This book describes the minimum effort that students must make to achieve the expected competencies. In accordance with the approach used in the 2013 Curriculum, students are encouraged to search for other learning sources that are available and spread widely around them. The teacher's role is very important to guide and facilitate students to learn science, including increasing and adapting students' absorption capacity to the availability of activities in this book. Teachers can enrich it with creations in the form of other appropriate and relevant activities originating from the social and natural environment.

This book is a revised edition. The revisions were mainly carried out to adapt the contents of the book to the Basic Competencies of class VII in SMP/MTs science subjects and in the spirit of improving the 2013 Curriculum. The writing team, assisted by a team of reviewers, have tried their best in compiling this book. However, this book is very open and will continue to be improved and refined in the future.
