About Rider Pro

RPT is a sports project specialized in the equestrian sector

RPT is a sports project specialized in the equestrian sector whose objective is to make riders aware of the importance of being well prepared physically and mentally to face the different equestrian disciplines.

After several years training professional riders and getting to know their habits and customs closely, we decided to create a training program (Smart Equestrian Program) for the physical improvement of these athletes.

The job of the RPT team is to help riders and riders to improve their physical condition to increase their performance and make them aware that they are athletes and therefore have to work their body and mind as such.

My name is Ian Llorca. I am a personal trainer specialized in functional training and strength training, among other disciplines.

I always had a very clear idea: to merge fitness with equestrian disciplines, looking for exercises that have a direct transfer to these equestrian disciplines. All this with the aim of being able to help improve physical performance and instill training habits in riders and riders.

After several years working with various professional riders such as Jordi Domingo, Lucas Elias, Núria Vilà, Agusti Elias or Linda Swande, among others, I decided to create a training system with which to help more riders, both professional and amateur, to improve. your physical condition.

______________________________________________________________________________________

We have created a training system (Smart Equestrian Fitness Program) that is based on 4 pillars, with the ultimate goal of improving the rider's physical condition. This system is based on working the following points:

1.- Mobility: Through joint mobility exercises we try to restore the joints to their optimal range of mobility, and thus improve the structure and prevent injuries and discomfort. Mobility is an essential part of our training sessions as it prepares the body tissue for the physical effort that will come after training and will help us to have a symmetrical body without restriction of movement.

2.- Strength: In our training program we give high priority to strength work, since it will make us improve our muscles and our structure, giving us a good conformation and muscular resistance to physical effort. It will also help us to gain confidence to be able to control a situation in which we are required or implies having to exert a lot of strength/resistance.

3.- Compensation: This is the pillar that we try to instill the most, and it is that due to the large number of isometric postures that the rider performs on top of the horse, the body generates many imbalances. That is why we must manage to re-balance both muscles and joints and wrong movement patterns. Compensation makes us activate that most inhibited or disabled musculature and thus be able to return to a muscular and joint balance.

4.- Stretching: In our plans we attach great importance to stretching, since they allow us to increase the range of motion of our joints, as well as prevent pain and discomfort, and above all allow us to relax the muscles after fairly static work. in which the joints are shortening and the muscles are getting stiff.
