I have often been told that I do not belong to this world; perhaps it is true, because in the world of poetry, I have found the nourishment of my soul. I was born where we ate little, for years, in fact, I believed that escalope was a vegetable... thank goodness, I've always kept to my figure, irony aside, with a lucky marriage and a love affair that has lasted for almost 40 years, I was repaid with sumptuous banquets and with the birth of three splendid children: Salvatore, Diletta and Anna. The dedication and commitment I have made to my family has been great, I would like to reap the fruits of it. For my children I want to be an example of strength and positivity, I contaminate them to the core of this; I wish they never give up. Life is hard but it must always be faced, even when all seems lost. At my house we ate very little, but there was a habit of buying a crossword magazine every week, in which I enjoyed finding answers and puzzles, I can't tell you the enthusiasm when, for the first time, I having the dictionary in my hand, I went over ecstatically those thin slips full of words between my fingers. The vocabulary was stored in the upper floors of the furniture, which made it elusive as well as precious. From these moments the curiosity for the word and its meaning was born, nourished through reading and writing, then poetry. Poetry and I met recently, but we immediately got into perfect harmony, one day :"I sank the pen into the paper and without pride I gave away my thoughts...". writing on these pages has been an unexpected and beautiful gift, it makes me feel proud and privileged, I thank everyone for making this possible; especially my family and all those who can no longer rejoice with me.
