Knigie Winnie-The-Pooh - story about a teddy bear - the character of two novels and two collections - Winnie-The-Pooh, English writer Alan Milne, first appeared in print in 1926.

One of the most famous heroes of children's literature of the XX century. In the 1960s and 1970s, thanks to the retelling of Boris Zakhoder, and then to the films of the Soyuzmultfilm studio, where the bear was voiced by Evgeny Leonov, Winnie-The-Pooh became very popular in the USSR. In all, Alan Milne wrote two prosaic books with the participation of bears: 1926- "Winnie-the-Pooh" and 1928 - "The House at Pooh Corner". Both books were dedicated to "Her." In the collections of 1924 poems "When We Were Very Young" and 1927 - "Now We Are Six" there are also several poems about the bear cub, although in the first one it is not called by name. In the preface to the first prose book, Milne calls the collection "another book about Christopher Robin."

Among the toys of Christopher Robin was also Piglet, which the boy was presented with to the neighbors, the donkey Ia-Ya, donated by his parents, Kang with Kroshka Ru in the bag, and Tiger, also presented to his parents by the parents, especially for the development of stories for the night. In the stories, these characters appear in this order. Owl and Rabbit Miln invented himself; on the first illustrations of Ernest Shepard they do not look like toys, but like real animals. Rabbit tells Sow: "Only you and I have brains. The rest have sawdust. " During the game, all these characters received individual habits, habits and manner of speaking. The Milternous World of Animals was influenced by Kenneth Graham's novel "The Wind in the Willows," which he admired and which Shepard had previously illustrated, and also a hidden polemic with Kipling's Jungle Book.

Prose books constitute a dilogy, but each of these books Milna contains 10 stories with their own stories that exist almost independently of each other.
